Privacy Statement

AIC is sensitive to privacy issues, and is compliant with all legislation concerning privacy. AIC is not responsible for the privacy practices or the content of the web sites to which it links.

"Personal Information" means information about an identifiable individual, including but not limited to, information that enables a living individual to be identified from that information, but does not include publicly available information.

Every employee at AIC is trained regarding the above mentioned principles, both before working with personal information and on an on-going basis in order to maintain compliance with all relevant legislation.

Personal information related to AIC, its employees, clients, customers, suppliers, debtors or any other individuals will not be disclosed to unauthorized third parties or used for purposes other than those for which it was collected, except with the consent of the individual or as required by law. Personal information will be retained only as long as necessary for the fulfillment of those purposes. Personal information will be processed in a fair and lawful manner.

6. Individual Access to their own Personal Information

Upon request, an individual will be informed of the existence, use and disclosure of his or her personal information and will be given access to that information. An individual will be able to challenge the accuracy and completeness of the information and have it amended as appropriate.

7. Ensuring Accuracy of Personal Information

Personal information will be as accurate, complete and up-to-date as is necessary for the purposes for which it is to be used.

8. Ensuring Safeguards for Personal Information

AIC uses security safeguards appropriate to the sensitivity of the personal information that it collects.

9. Openness about Personal Information Policies and Practices

AIC will make available to individuals specific information about its policies and practices relating to the management of personal information.

10. Challenging Compliance with AIC's Privacy Policies and Practices

An individual will be able to address a challenge concerning compliance with the above principles to the Privacy Officer.
